The Myrnet Cluster consists of 9 CPU chassis each containing two 1.8Ghz Xeon processors, 512MB DDR SDRAM, and a Myrinet NIC. The chassis are all interconnected via a high speed Myrinet switch which provides a 2.6us MPI latency and a sustained 2Gb/s communication bandwidth. The cluster also is often populated with 4 AMS Firebird boards each with XIlinx Virtex II 2000 FPGAs; 2 Slaac-1V boards each with 3 Xilinx Virtex II 1000 FPGAs; an AMS Wildforce board with a Xilinx XC4062 FPGA, an AMS Wild-One board with a Xilinx FPGA. |
